The Wray Valley Trail mostly follows the six mile route of the disused railway line between Bovey Tracy and Moretonhampstead. The route has been developed over a number of years in several stages, the final key stage opened late 2019. Every mile of this trail offers very different views, sometimes looking into the valley, sometimes travelling through lush woodland and sometimes through impressive old cuttings and over bridges. With a selection of cafe's, restaurants and pubs at each end and in Lustleigh mid-way, the Wray Valley Trail offers a great day out.

For anyone wishing to cycle further, the route continues as the Stover Trail. This mostly off road path takes you through Stover Park and follows the old canal and occasional use railway line into Newton Abbot.
